GHFS is een kleine, zichzelf financierende NGO gevestigd in Suriname, die afhangt van de inzet van haar vrijwilligers om haar diverse activiteiten te kunnen uitvoeren. Om de organisatiekosten tot een minimum te beperken, kunnen we geen verblijfplaatsen aanbieden voor buitenlanders die bij ons vrijwilligerswerk willen doen, hoewel we hun interesse en vaardigheden op prijs stellen. GHFS is echter bereid een handje toe te steken bij het zoeken naar de meest geschikte accommodatie voor haar vrijwilligers, ongeacht het budget. Vrijwilligers die bij GHFS willen werken moeten ook voor hun eigen reis- en medische verzekering zorgen. Omdat het opleiden van een vrijwilliger ons veel tijd en werk kost, hebben we een minimumperiode van twee weken voor vrijwilligerswerk. Wie minder dan twee weken blijft, beschouwen we als bezoeker. Een bezoeker kan meegaan met reddingsoperaties en vrijlatingen, als die er zijn.<\/span><\/p>

Please note that if you should choose to apply to volunteer with the Green Heritage Fund, you will be required to download, sign and return the waiver that can be accessed with the link below. If you are under the age of 18 years, your parent\/ guardian will have to sign this form and will also have to provide a letter authorizing you to volunteer with us. For volunteers under the age of 18 we can set additional conditions.
