De persoon die de miereneter had gevonden, was erg betrokken bij de veiligheid van het dier. Hij had meerdere organisaties gebeld om het dier op te halen. Een van hen had hem gelukkig doorverwezen naar ons. Zodra we werden gebeld, zijn we gelijk de auto in gestapt, om naar het dier toe te rijden.<\/p>\n<p>We hadden de miereneter al gespot vanuit de auto en we zagen een meneer op een paar meter afstand naar ons zwaaien. Hij had een bakje met water neergezet voor het dier en zelfs de honden uit de buurt weggejaagd, zodat het dier veilig bleef.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/greenfundsuriname.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/miereneter_water.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/greenfundsuriname.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/miereneter_water-300x142.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"142\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>De miereneter zat bij de brievenbus en had een bakje water gekregen.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Monique Pool, de directeur van GHFS, heeft eerst geprobeerd om het dier te vangen met het net. De miereneter is toen naar beneden geklommen in het hek. Het was toen toch iets makkelijker om het dier te vangen met de handschoenen.
