Volunteers & Interns

We are often in need of volunteers willing to assist our programs by completing various tasks including animal rescues and care, administrative duties, communications, fundraising, event planning, carpentry and much more. Volunteers are welcomed to assist on-site in Paramaribo, Suriname, as well as at the Sloth Rehabilitation Center in Saramacca, as well as from a distance. Potential volunteers should know that we can not guarantee direct animal care work.

Open Positions

Currently we are finishing the new rehabilitation center for the animals, the Xenarthra Rehabilitation Center, also known as the Sloth Wellness Center.

The center was constructed using recycled shipping containers and wooden structures for the animal shelters, and includes a research center and accommodation for the manager. With this plan in mind we are looking for volunteers who are handy and like doing odd jobs to make the center complete.
